DSA Partner Documents Required: Complete Onboarding Checklist

Checklist of required documents to register as a DSA loan partner. Understand KYC, business proofs, and payout account requirements for seamless onboarding.

Registering as a Direct Selling Agent (DSA) or Loan Partner with a financial aggregator like Shreeji Finance is a streamlined process, provided you have your documentation in order. Because you will be handling sensitive customer data and facilitating financial transactions, regulatory compliance mandates a strict KYC process for all partners.

Whether you intend to source Home Loans, Business Loans, or Credit Cards, the foundational onboarding documents remain the same.

1. Identity Verification (KYC)

Financial institutions must verify exactly who is representing them in the market.

  • PAN Card: This is absolutely mandatory. Your PAN is linked to your partner code, and all commission payouts are subject to TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) under your PAN.
  • Aadhaar Card: Required for address verification and digital e-KYC processes.
  • Recent Photograph: A clear, passport-sized photograph for your partner ID and internal records.

2. Address Verification

You must provide proof of your current operating address.

  • If your current address matches your Aadhaar card, no further document is needed.
  • If you operate from a different address (e.g., a rented office or a different city), you must provide a recent Utility Bill (electricity, water, broadband) or a valid Registered Rent Agreement.

3. Business Entity Proof (If Applicable)

You can register as an individual professional or as a registered business entity. If you are registering under a firm's name (e.g., "Sharma Financial Consultants"), you must provide legal proof of existence:

  • Proprietorships: GST Registration Certificate or Udyam Registration Certificate.
  • Partnership Firms: Registered Partnership Deed and the firm's PAN Card.
  • Private Limited Companies: Certificate of Incorporation, MOA, AOA, and the company's PAN Card.

4. Payout Account Details (Banking)

To ensure your hard-earned commissions are transferred securely and without delay, you must verify your banking details.

  • Cancelled Cheque: A cancelled cheque with your name (or your firm's name) printed on it.
  • OR Bank Passbook/Statement: The front page of your passbook or a recent bank statement clearly showing the Account Name, Account Number, and IFSC code.

*Note: The name on the bank account must exactly match the name on the PAN card provided during registration.*

While not strictly mandatory for standard registration, providing proof of your professional background helps the onboarding team tailor your training and assign you the right relationship managers.

  • Business card.
  • Educational certificates (Degree/Diploma).
  • Proof of existing empanelment (if you are an existing DSA for other products).
  • Registration certificates for Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or Insurance Agents (IRDAI).

The Importance of Data Privacy and Compliance

By submitting these documents and signing the DSA Agreement, you are legally binding yourself to strict data privacy standards. As a Loan Partner, you will collect highly sensitive documents (ITRs, Bank Statements, Property Deeds) from clients. You must ensure that this data is securely transmitted to Shreeji Finance and never misused or shared with unauthorized third parties.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I register as an individual without a registered company?

A: Yes, you can register as an individual freelancer or consultant using your personal PAN and savings account details.

Q: Why is a cancelled cheque required?

A: It ensures that payouts are routed to the exact account intended, preventing errors in IFSC codes or account numbers.

Q: Do I need to submit physical copies?

A: No, the entire onboarding process at Shreeji Finance is digital. Clear, scanned PDF copies or high-quality images uploaded to our portal are sufficient.

Q: Will my CIBIL score be checked during registration?

A: While partner onboarding focuses more on KYC than creditworthiness, severe financial defaults or fraud markers on your PAN can lead to rejection of your DSA application.

Q: How long does document verification take?

A: Once you upload all required documents, the verification and code generation process typically takes 24 to 48 hours.
